A new Italian spot, offering sandwiches, hot dogs and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Pop's Italian Beef and Sausage, the fresh arrival is located at 157 W North Ave. (between La Salle Dr. & Wells St.) in Old Town. Pop's—which has locations throughout the greater Chicago area—specializes in sandwiches, burgers, dogs and more.
The menu is extensive, so expect to see an array of sandwich and burger options like and Italian beef, sausage and beef combo sandwich, Reuben on rye, Italian sausage, a triple cheeseburger, and gyro on pita. There are a variety of sides and snacks on hand as well, like pizza puffs, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, tamales, and chili cheese fries. (You can check out the full menu here.)
