Pizza. It’s an American favorite, and West Virginia residents are no exception. Did you know that we’re among the top ten states with the most pizza restaurants per capita in the nation? But we only have one Mia Margherita, the first and only independent Coal Fired Pizzeria in West Virginia.
There's literally no other pizzeria like it, in West Virginia at least. The dough is made from scratch, then hand-tossed and topped with the freshest of ingredients before being baked in the oven. And what an oven it is. Coal burns hotter than wood, giving a coal-fired pizza a uniquely wonderful texture and finish compared to its wood-fired counterparts.
