San Pedro’s vibrant waterfront will come alive on June 1st, 2025 as the Italy RunLA 5K returns for another exciting year, inviting the community to celebrate Italian Republic Day one day early with fitness, culture, and local pride. Registration is now open at Italy RunLA 5K, with a special coupon code of $10 for the readers of Wetheitalians using code WEITALIANS10

The event, also presented in partnership with the Port of Los Angeles and Council District 15, brings together families, runners, and walkers for a scenic 5K experience along the LA Waterfront. Open to all ages and fitness levels, the Italy RunLA 5K offers participants a chance to enjoy a fun, active morning while honoring the area’s strong Italian-American roots and commitment to wellness.

The 5K route will showcase the LA Waterfront’s stunning coastal views, offering a flat, fast course ideal for both competitive runners and casual participants.

All registrants will receive a commemorative Italy RunLA performance t-shirt and medal while Buono's Pizzeria will generously offer free pizza to all the runners.

In keeping with local sustainability goals, the event is also committed to minimizing waste and using eco-friendly materials.
