As part of its "Opera in Cinema" series, the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline will offer — on May 12 — a rare chance to enjoy a genre-defining masterwork by Giuseppe Verdi.

Containing some of the greatest choral music ever composed, the May 12 screening is of an April 29 performance of "Nabucco" at the Royal Opera House in London, with tenor Plácido Domingo debuting in a major role.
