From the streets of South Medford to the professional sports arena, Mike Pagliarulo and Joe Sacco share a common bond. It is one that has carried them through the years in their respective sports, and has only continued to push them further into local legendary lore.
The Medford natives are two of the newest members of the National Italian-American Sports Hall of Fame. The Massachusetts Chapter inducted the pair on Sunday, Nov. 1 at Anthony's in Malden. "I'm honored and I'm humbled," said Pagliarulo, 50 "It's a great thing, and I'm proud as heck that it's two Medford guys. Who would have thought?" Sacco agreed.
