Hundreds of people glowing in bright neon colors will run Saturday night through portions of Clarksburg during a charity race that will benefit the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival. The race — called the Glow in the Square Ultimate 5K Fun Run — is a twist replacing the festival's annual race.
"It's definitely something newer that's taken off," said Tyler Terango, chairman of the board for the Italian Heritage Festival. The event is part of a race series called Glow in the Park, which features glow paint and black lights throughout each course. Glowing foam sticks will illuminate the race course to ensure runners don't get lost.
