Hudson County Superior Court Judge Joseph Turula will serve as grand marshal when the annual Jersey City Columbus parade steps off Saturday afternoon for the first time since 2019. The parade is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Dickinson High School at Palisade and Newark avenues. The celebration of Italian heritage and contributions to the nation will continue of Jersey Avenue to Montgomery Avenue and end at City Hall on Grove Street.
“As we begin the month of October, Italian American Heritage Month, we remember the countless contributions Italian Americans have made to Jersey City and our country,” said Nicholas J. Grillo, president of the Jersey City Columbus Day Parade Committee. “It’s important for us to come together as citizens of Italian decent to celebrate our national pride as do countless other nationalities all across this great country.
