The Toracco Food Bank/Shelter Fund administered by the UNICO Foundation is available to community-established programs throughout the United States that provide food and shelter where most needed. Grants are available for nonprofit organizations (food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters) that serve people in need or an agency that supports the community through rescue efforts.
All must meet local and state regulations and prove a track record of providing food and shelter to low-income clientele. A full 100 percent of the grant must be used to purchase food or provide shelter – not for operating or salary costs A total of $25,000 is donated nationallyA total of $25,000 is donated nationally each year – divided among the most qualifiedeach year – divided among the most qualified applicants.
