BoMayor Herman Castellani announces he will seek a full four-year term as mayor. Appointed mayor in 2015, Castellani won a two-year term in a special election. As mayor, he is in charge of the police department. Castellani served as Exeter Borough treasurer from 1968 to 1980 and served on the Exeter Borough Zoning Board.
Married to the former Louis Fumanti, he is a member of St. Barbara Parish and serves as treasurer of the Holy Name Society. He served as president of the Big Band Society of North Eastern Pennsylvania for six years and president and treasurer of the Italian American Association of Luzerne County. He is also a former member of the Exeter Lions Club. He was president of the Catholic Men of the Diocese of Scranton and served seven counties under Bishop Joseph Martino.
