Joseph Fuschi, 86, of Wethersfield, beloved husband of Concetta (Zappia) Fuschi, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Joseph was born on June 10, 1931 in Caltanisetta, Sicily and was the son of the late Michele and Giuseppa (Russo) Fuschi. He emigrated from Sicily to the USA in 1961 and with his brother John Fuschi, opened Portofino's Restaurant in West Hartford and later opened Capriccio's Ristorante which was a landmark on Franklin Avenue in Hartford for many years.

Joseph was an excellent cook and host, welcoming and making sure everyone felt right at home during their visit to Capriccio's. He was a longtime member of the Italian American Stars and a devout Catholic, he attended Mass regularly. Joseph also enjoyed watching soccer always cheering for Italy's team. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially looked forward to Sunday dinners and the table surrounded with his family enjoying a delicious meal and a few laughs.
