John and Teresa Sullivan, owners of the Connecticut Academy for the Arts on Prospect Street, brought a bit of Italian art and culture to their space this week, marking Fat Tuesday with a performance of “commedia dell’arte” by Mace Perlman of Greenwich.
The actor and educator used his collection of leather theater masks, created by Italian artist Renzo Antonello, to present a program combining education and comedy using Italian characters such as Harlequin and Pantalone.
