The annual Columbus Day parade kicked off in Huntington Sunday. The Order Sons & Daughters of Italy in America, Grand Lodge of New York marked the annual Columbus Day Parade in Huntington with a variety of musical performances.
Spectators lined the parade route on Main Street to celebrate Italian heritage, culture and the contributions made by countless Italian Americans. The parade coincided with the annual Long Island Fall Festival at Heckscher State Park. The theme for this year's parade was honoring "The Year of the Women."
