There's something about the holiday season — with all the gift giving and get-togethers — that brings out the best in all of us. No truer words were spoken Sunday when the Italian-American Women of Staten Island's gathered for its annual Christmas luncheon at Bocelli Ristorante in Grasmere.
The festive occasion, which saw members indulge in fine food and good conversation, was brought to even greater heights. "This year, in the spirit of giving, we asked each member to bring an unwrapped toy as a Christmas gift donation with the recipient of the gifts the Seamen's Society for Children and Families," said executive board member Eleanor Conforti, an Advance Woman of Achievement in the Class of 1977.
