The glossy remake of Italian cult horror film "Suspiria" starring Dakota Johnson and Tilda Swinton unfurls later this month. But local moviegoers can get a taste of the original, and its eerie music, in November. Legendary horror soundtrack composer Claudio Simonetti and his band Goblin will live score the 1977 original during a Nov. 3 event at White Oak Music Hall. Simonetti and Goblin will perform their original, acclaimed soundtrack to the film in its entirety.
Tickets are $30 and on sale now. The soundtrack, considered a genre classic, incorporates tabla, bouzouki and Moog synthesizer. Simonetti also crafted soundtracks for "Deep Red," Dawn of the Dead," "Tenebrae," "Phenomena" and "Dracula 3D."
