Italian singer Andrea Bocelli is keeping a promise he made to Larry Ruvo's Keep Memory Alive fundraising events at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. Andrea and his wife, Veronica, will host an extraordinary three-hour brunch there Dec. 6 to unveil a life-size marble sculpture of the tenor.
Its artist, "marble man" Gualtiero Vanelli, carved it from marble brought from the same quarry for Michaelangelo's Statue of David in Florence. Limited seating is $500 per person for the brunch in downtown's Symphony Park, and the well heeled will pay $1,000 for a pre-brunch meet-and-greet with Andrea and Veronica, who also will pour their Bocelli family vineyard wines for the meal.
