Phil Stefani — along with wife Karen and children Anthony and Gina — have opened a restaurant minutes from their home today in Lincolnwood as today’s the first official day of business forStefani Prime. Billed as a restaurant worthy of Chicago’s dining scene, only in the suburbs, Prime brings together steaks, seafood, and classic Italian-American dishes. It looks to be a blend of Phil Stefani’s old-school experience with the new energy his children have infused into recent openings at Bar Cargo in River North and MAD Social in the West Loop.
The offerings from former David Burke’s Primehouse chef Nolan Narut feature steaks like a 36-ounce bone-in tomahawk ribeye. Seafood selections include seared ahi and a seafood tower of raw items. Short-rib raviolocci and chicken Vesuvio add some classic flair.
