After 28 years along the side of King Highway, Papa’s Italian Sausage is moving closer to downtown. The eatery — known for its homemade sausage and scratch lasagna — expects to move to 543 E. Ransom St., in early-to-mid-June, said Peter Rizzuto.
The current location, at 1219 King Highway, may close for a couple days prior to the move, so equipment can be moved, he said. Rizzuto is in the process of assuming the ownership role from his father, business founder Carl Rizzuto. There’s a lot to be excited about with the new location, the younger Rizzuto said.
