The Italian restaurant empire on Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas Boulevard was bound to spill over into nearby Flagler Village sooner or later. Heritage, a new fine-dining Italian eatery from chef-owner Rino Cerbone, quietly opened in mid-February at the Hive, the honeycomb of warehouses behind Searstown and north of the MASS art district.
Heritage, at 903 NE Fifth Ave. next to the video game-themed Glitch Bar and Batch, the Cookie Company, comes from chef-owner Rino Cerbone. It’s the first eatery from Cerbone, who gleaned his Italian cuisine know-how while working at his parents’ restaurant, Pizza Time Ristorante, in Boca Raton.
