International University of Food: the new project of Emilia Romagna

An international university of food: this is the new project of Emilia Romagna, launched by the President of the Region Stefano Bonaccini.

"After having done so for the automotive sector, with the creation of Muner (Motorvehicle University of Emilia-Romagna), we will launch the University of food together with the four regional universities: Bologna, Modena and Reggio Emilia, Ferrara and Parma, the lead university for the project in the Unesco Creative City for Gastronomy," said Bonaccini closing the 2022 edition of "Cibus", the international agri-food fair held from May 3 to 6 in Parma.

"It will be a unique experience in the world that will attract and train professionals in the food sector, young people from every country, together with the largest agri-food companies. Where else but here, in Emilia-Romagna: the region in Europe with the highest number of IGP and DOP products, which boasts culinary excellence exported and known worldwide. To create work, to invest in girls and boys, for the future of our region," concluded the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
