There is an Italy that always wins in sports. An Italy that not only triumphs but is just unbeatable, and that is the Italy of volleyball at both the men's and women's level that finds itself simultaneously champion of Europe with both the major national teams and all the youth national teams from the Under 17 to the Under 22. Something sensational.

The latest was the success of the Under 17 team led by Monica Cresta in the men's European Championships. The Azzurrini in the final in Podgorica, Montenegro, defeated Bulgaria 3-1. The boys emulated the women's team, which a few days ago in Serbia in the Under-17 final defeated Turkey 3-1.

A year ago about this time Zanin's Under 18 men's team won the European Championships, France knocked out in the final. Title also won by the Under 18 women's team. Also in 2022 both the men's and women's national teams won the Under 20 title, last September Italy beat Poland 3-2. The Azzurri in 2021 won the trophy by beating Serbia 3-0 in the final, and the same year also saw the Under 22 titles: the men's team beat France in the final in the European Championships held in Poland, while the women's team won 3-2 in a hard-fought final with Serbia.

And of course even higher still dominate the most beautiful trophies, those won in 2021 by both the women's and men's national teams. Paola Egonu and her teammates beat Serbia in the final on September 4, 2021. A few weeks later the men's team won in the final against Slovenia, the following year then came the World title as well.
