If the data about sales in the last weeks of 2021 shall confirm the trend of the first nine months of the year, for the first time Italian dairy exports will reach 500 thousand tons in volume, equal to a value of 3.5 million euros. This was revealed by the Italian association of dairy industries, Assolatte, which reports a possible increase of +11% in volume compared to 2020.
Sales of Italian cheeses are growing in double figures in several European countries: Poland (+22%), Belgium (+18%), France (+13%), as well as Romania, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Spain. It is the USA, however, that guarantees the greatest satisfaction with growth in sales of +25%, also thanks to the suspension of additional duties introduced by the Trump administration.
