Permanent jobs are on the rise, 53,000 more in March, thanks to the labor market reform

The labor market reform is showing its first results. In March, 162,498 permanent jobs were activated, 53,000 more than in March 2014. Permanent contracts increased compared with the previous month of February, accounting for 25.3% of the 641,572 new contracts recorded in March (one of four). The year before, stable hiring represented 17.5% of the total, around one of six jobs.

In March there was a positive balance of 92,000 new jobs, produced by 641,571 new hires and by 549,273 firings and retirements.
