Fiat is hoping to end its struggles for success in the American market by introducing an electric version of its 500 in 2024. The Italian automaker did some okay business during the 1970s, but interest in the brand waned, sales plummeted, and they left the market for nearly three decades.
After merging with Chrysler, Fiat came back in 2010 but failed to set the automotive world on fire in the states. In 2019, Fiat discontinued production of the 500 models for North America, followed by the 124 Spider and the 500l a year later. With the introduction of the 500e, can Fiat finally put a dent in the American market?
