The 36-year-old pop superstar said Thursday that she will star alongside Joaquin Phoenix, 47, in “Joker: Folie à Deux,” which is set to premiere Oct. 4, 2024. Mother Monster confirmed the highly anticipated news through a clip posted to social media. The 18-second tease splashes “Phoenix” in black text against a red background, followed by the actor’s silhouette.

The word “Gaga” follows, along with her silhouette, before the pair embrace as they twirl to the tune of “Cheek to Cheek” — a song she’s covered with her former musical collaborator Tony Bennett. The teaser concludes with the sound of the infamous “Joker” laugh and bold-lettered release date.
