There are also two Italian Americans in the race for the most... intelligent AI that sees OpenAi fginanced by Microsoft, Google's Bard, the various Chinese proposals and, of course, Elon Musk's "philosophical" answer. They are Dario and Daniela Amodei, who spent much of their careers in OpenAi before deciding to strike out on their own with Anthropic.

At OpenAi Dario held the role of vice president of research while Daniela held the role of vice president of security. In May 2023 their resumé convinced some investors to fund a first round with $450 million. The capital is primarily to support the development of Claude, the artificial intelligence chat intended to challenge ChatGpt.

Back in February, also Google, thus determined not to leave Bard alone in the field, had invested another $300 million in Anthropic. These and other funds have allowed the young software house to launch in recent hours Claude 2, the second version of the chatbot powered by generative artificial intelligence. According to Anthropic, this new virtual interlocutor promises greater performance and more limited possibilities for generating false or malicious content.
