Council approves wine store for South End

South End residents soon will be able to grab a bottle of wine in their own backyard.
The Town Council granted a special exception Wednesday to allow a new Italian wine store to open on the first floor of the BankUnited Building at 2875 S. Ocean Blvd. The new Cento Vini store totals 611 square feet and will feature exclusive Italian wines.
"We have a passion both for wine and for Palm Beach," said owner and resident David Frankland.

Frankland, along with wife Domenica and his two children, have lived in the Ambassador II for three years. He said his wife's family owns an Italian restaurant in New York. The two also own land in Italy where they grow grapes and produce olive oil.
