Yankees legend Dave Righetti has been named the 2024 Italian American Baseball Foundation Achievement Award honoree. He will be recognized at the annual IABF Gala on December 5 at Marina Del Rey in the Bronx. Tickets are on sale now!
Righetti pitched for the Yankees from 1979-1990 and later with the Giants, Athletics, Blue Jays, and White Sox. He was a two-time All-Star and the 1981 American League Rookie of the Year. The 1986 AL saves leader and the AL Rolaids Relief Man Award winner in 1986 and 1987, he also threw a no-hitter on July 4, 1983. He was the first player in history to pitch a no-hitter and lead the league in saves in his career.
As the Giants’ pitching coach for 18 years, he helped them win three World Series titles in 2010, 2012, and 2014. He was also the bullpen coach for the U.S. team at the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
