Steve DiFillippo is on the move again. The chef-owner who over 30 years has taken his Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse from its Boston roots to Manhattan, Philadelphia and Atlanta is preparing to open a location in California.
The Los Angeles location may prove to be a logistical headache for a business owner so hands-on that he checks sales and ingredient costs for every location every night and refers to a table with a good view of the dining room at the Back Bay location as his "office."
