In agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Trenitalia will offer a discount to Italians registered with AIRE. The purpose of the discount is to provide Italian citizens living abroad and travelling in Italy with the possibility of purchasing Trenitalia-Frecciarossa train tickets at special conditions, thanks the following offers valid until 31 December 2024:
- Extension of the “Speciale Eventi” offer, with a dedicated code allowing the purchase of train tickets at a discount between 20% and 80%, according to conditions and subject to availability. It will be possible to purchase tickets on Trenitalia.com, on the Trenitalia App, at the ticket offices and authorized travel agencies and distributors abroad;
- Groups of at least 10 people travelling on high-speed trains enjoy discounted fares up to 40%. Tickets can be purchased at the Frecciarossa Group Offices;
- Extension of “Trenitalia Pass” purchases for Italians living abroad and registered with AIRE. The Pass is a multi-ride ticket valid for journeys within the Italian territory. It will be possible to purchase the Pass on Trenitalia.com, at the ticket offices, travel agencies and authorized foreign and Italian tour operators.
