Mount Carmel Academy honor student Aubrie St. Germain will reign as queen of the 47^th annual Italian American Marching Club's St. Joseph Parade on Saturday, March 18. The parade rolls at 6 p.m. and winds its way from the Convention Center through the French Quarter. The 17-year-old Metairie resident has been training for this regal role practically her entire life, she began riding as a maid in the St. Joseph's parade at the tender young age of 6. 

"I have been riding in the parade since I was a little girl, so it's really cool that I get to be queen this year," St. Germain said. "I feel so lucky to have this chance, it is something I always wanted to do and now I can't believe it's my turn. It means so very much to me to be part of all of this. It is truly an honor I'll never forget."
