When: Sat, September 17, 2022 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM PDT - Where: The Italian American Museum of Los Angeles, 644 North Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012
As part of the exhibition Woven Lives: Exploring Women’s Needlework from the Italian Diaspora, the IAMLA invites you to a Crochet Circle and Art Performance. The event is an in-person collective performance, workshop, and crochet circle led by artist Luci Callipari-Marcuzzo. Participants are invited to crochet chains of red cotton thread as a symbol of the chain migration of Italians to North America and Australia, while the artist embodies her grandmothers through dialogue and interactions.
