The City College of New York Interim Director of Athletics Steve Macias announced today that Marcello Di Russo has been named the head coach of the CCNY women's basketball program. "I'm deeply grateful and honored for the opportunity to continue my journey at The City College of New York as the new head coach of the women's basketball program," said Di Russo.

"I look forward to continuing to rebuild the program for success, with the goal of enhancing its profile and nurturing our student-athletes into future leaders. Di Russo takes over the programs after serving as an assistant coach for the past three seasons (2021-24). Since joining CCNY, he has been the lead assistant, overseeing recruiting, team and player skill development, scouting, and team operations.
