La Fiamma, the restaurant replacing Paradiso Italian Restaurant, is holding a grand opening Tuesday at 6124 Franconia Road, Alexandria. Paradiso Italian Restaurant was a longtime family-run restaurant that closed in October 2020. The owners announced they were passing the torch to new owners to open the new concept. The new owners are Gonzalo and Melina Pardo, who met in 2003 at Paradiso Italian Restaurant.
The owners, their two boys, Luca and Mateo, and their puppy Gibson are ready to welcome diners to the new family restaurant. La Fiamma's chef is Victor Bercian, who hails from New York, has over 20 years of cooking experience and specializes in Italian food.
