Local restaurateurs Danny and Brittany Alcala are aiming to fill a niche with their new North Chattanooga Italian restaurant called Red Sauce. The duo said they aren’t looking to compete with other local Italian restaurants, such as Boccaccia Ristorante Italiano or Il Primo. Instead, they are looking to bring a new style to town.
“This is going to be a different style of Italian,” Danny said. “It’s Italian-American.” Danny said the food is similar to that made by immigrants who came from Italy and created their own style of red sauce.
