The long-empty, castle-like restaurant at 13851 S. Tamiami Trail in south Fort Myers will soon have a new tenant. Leopardi’s Italian Restaurant has taken over the former Dwyer's and Tilted Kilt space, with plans to open in November. Owner Anthony Leopardi is no stranger to the area. He is the founder and owner of Cornerstone Builders of Southwest Florida, a company that's renovated and built kitchens and homes locally since 1988.
“My passion is to give people service and quality they won’t get anywhere else," Anthony Leopardi said in a press release. "I know this is only made possible with God’s help." Anthony's wife, Gina Leopardi, will play an integral role in the restaurant, as well, bringing her family's recipes from northern and southern Italy to the menu.
