Renato Cantore was an Italian journalist and author who devoted much of his research to Rocco Petrone, the NASA manager of Italian heritage who oversaw the launch of Apollo 11. He wrote the biographies “La tigre e la Luna” (2009) and “Dalla Terra alla Luna. Rocco Petrone, l’italiano dell’Apollo 11” (2019), which inspired the documentary “Rocco Petrone, l’italiano dell’Apollo 11”, for which he also wrote the screenplay.
Renato Cantore era un giornalista e scrittore che ha dedicato gran parte della sua attività di ricerca alla figura di Rocco Petrone, il manager NASA di origini lucane che guidò il lancio dell’Apollo 11. È autore delle biografie “La tigre e la Luna” (2009) e “Dalla Terra alla Luna. Rocco Petrone, l’italiano dell’Apollo 11” (2019). Da quest’ultimo libro è stato tratto il documentario “Rocco Petrone, l’italiano dell’Apollo 11”, del quale Cantore ha firmato la sceneggiatura.
