The Adams County Board of County Commissioners on Oct. 14 proclaimed October 2025 as Italian American Heritage Month, citing the contributions of Italian immigrants and Italian Americans to the county’s agriculture, industry and public service.
The proclamation noted that Italian American Heritage Month is observed each October and referenced national proclamations dating to 1989. The board read language noting Italian American roles in Colorado’s railroad transportation, mining, masonry and agricultural production, and identified several elected officials of Italian descent in Adams County.
