The small Umbrian town of Bevagna is one such place that would have been missed had I not had a friendly conversation with a barista in nearby Spoleto. The lush Umbrian Valley between Assisi and Montefalco is a terrifically beautiful area crisscrossed by tranquil bike trails mingling with gentle vineyards. As if plopped amid this solely for beauty’s sake, Bevagna sits proudly in the open valley fittingly flaunting her charm and ancestral heritage.
