One of Italy’s most recognizable brands is preparing to strengthen its presence in the United States. Bialetti, the historic coffee company founded in 1919, plans to open its first American retail stores beginning in 2027, bringing its iconic moka pots and Italian coffee culture directly to U.S. consumers.

The expansion is part of a five-year growth strategy announced by company chairman Giuseppe Morici. Bialetti currently operates 96 stores in Italy, including 78 company-owned locations and 18 franchises. International sales already represent 36% of total revenue, and the company intends to increase that share.

The initiative follows encouraging financial results. In 2025, Bialetti generated €165.7 million in revenue, an increase of 10.8%, and returned to profitability. Its net financial debt also declined significantly, reaching €69.6 million.

Alongside its American retail expansion, Bialetti plans to introduce new coffee preparation products in 2027, focusing on moka pots, home brewing systems, capsules, and portable equipment.

The company has also strengthened its international appeal through collaborations with American brands including Mattel’s Barbie, Starbucks, and The North Face. These partnerships have helped position the traditional Italian moka pot as a contemporary lifestyle product.

Invented by Alfonso Bialetti in 1933, the Moka Express remains a symbol of Italian ingenuity and everyday culture.

For American consumers, the planned stores will offer another opportunity to experience an authentic Italian coffee tradition, reinforcing the enduring connection between Italian design, innovation, and the U.S. market.
