Celebrating 35 Years of the Italian American Program in Pittsburgh, PA

Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025. 6:30 – 8 p.m. Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA. 5th floor Mueller Center. Free to the public. Register. Join the History Center’s Italian American Program on Thursday, Oct. 2 to celebrate the program’s 35th anniversary.

Director Melissa E. Marinaro will be joined in conversation with special guests Cathy Cerrone Fratto, the program’s first coordinator, and former Chairs of the Italian American Advisory Council, Peter Argentine and Dr. Lina Insana, to discuss the impact of the Italian American Program and how it’s contributed to the preservation of the history and culture of the region’s Italian American community. The conversation will be moderated by the Heinz History Center’s Chief Historian Anne Madarasz.

Mueller Center and cocktail bar open at 6 p.m. This program is free with advance registration.
