On November 20, we celebrated the remarkable life of Amedeo “Tommy” Tommasini at Washington Square in the heart of North Beach. From local craftsmanship to global influence, Tommy’s story resonates across generations.
The event featured heartfelt remarks from Gina von Esmarch, Consul General Massimo Carnelos, Supervisor Danny Sauter, Assemblymember Catherine Stefani, Bill Waste for the Tommasini family, Manuele LaTorre of the SFIAC, and Basil Russo of COPPAMAIO. The ceremony concluded with a plaque unveiling and a shared dinner that connected community, family, and neighbors.
