Media executive, author and professor Chris R. Vaccaro is the Society of Professional Journalists’ 109th national president. Vaccaro, who has served as vice president of the organization this past year, was sworn in during the Presidents Reception today at MediaFest25 in Washington, D.C.
He currently serves as Vice President of Digital Technology and Communications at Ark Technology Consultants in New York. He also oversees the student media program at his alma mater, Sachem High School. In that role, he is General Manager and Professional-in-Residence of 91.9-FM WSHR, an educational radio station.
