Coldiretti: the supply chain is worth 707 billion. The sprint of credit to aggregation

The Italian agri-food chain is worth 707 billion, as much as twenty financial ones. From the fields to industry, from catering to large-scale distribution, food has become the country's first wealth, says Coldiretti, which opened its 23rd agriculture and food forum in Rome this morning.

The European House Ambrosetti data in hand, the made in Italy at the table - recalls the association - employs 4 million people and has 700 thousand agricultural enterprises. Italy boasts the primacy in the EU for added value with over 42 billion euro in 2024 and is in first place in Europe also for the value generated per hectare, almost 3000 euro, twice as much as France and 2/3 more than the Germans.
