Concorso Italiano at Monterey Car Week

By: Charles Marsala

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, Concorso Italiano returned to the Monterey Peninsula as one of the highlights of Monterey Car Week. Held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course in Seaside, the 41st annual event celebrated Italian automotive design, performance, and culture.

The show featured an impressive collection of Italian automobiles and motorcycles, including legendary marques such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Fiat, Lancia, and De Tomaso. Alongside the Italian cars, the Global Exotics section displayed exceptional vehicles from around the world.

One of the special highlights this year was the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Alfa Romeo Spider “Duetto.” Pininfarina and Concorso Italiano hosted a dedicated display and presented an award recognizing an outstanding example of the iconic roadster.

Beyond the automobiles, Concorso Italiano offered Italian food, music, fashion, art, and a relaxed atmosphere inspired by La Dolce Vita. With the beautiful Monterey Bay scenery as a backdrop, the event provided car enthusiasts with a memorable combination of automotive history, Italian style, and California scenery. It remains an essential part of Monterey Car Week and a must-see event for anyone who appreciates Italian automobiles and design.

The Festa Italia of Monterey anchors an "Italian Square" for the car show showcasing samples of their annual St. Rosalia Festival held annually, the weekend after Labor Day.
