Consulate General of Italy in New York: Passport renewal appointments for Long Island residents on May 15

By: We the Italians Editorial Staff

The Consulate General of Italy in New York announces that Italian citizens registered with AIRE and living in the Long Island (New York) area will have the opportunity to apply for passport issuance or renewal, by appointment, on Friday, May 15, 2026. The service will be offered at the premises of the Order of Sons and Daughters of Italy in America lodge in Glen Cove, NY.

Applicants must request an appointment no later than May 12, 2026 by emailing [email protected]. The request must include the completed application form (available for download) and a copy of the applicant’s previous Italian passport, if available.

Each applicant will receive a confirmation email specifying the exact appointment time at the Glen Cove location. Only those who receive this confirmation will be admitted.

If the number of requests exceeds available appointments, priority will be given to applicants over the age of 75 and to those who clearly explain, in their email request, why they are unable to travel to the Consulate General in New York.

On the day of the appointment, applicants must bring all required documentation as listed on the Consulate’s official website: https://consnewyork.esteri.it.
