Graziano Brothers, the sausage maker and Italian foods purveyor that is a Des Moines southside landmark, is planning a major expansion that will include a cafe and bakery.
Documents filed with the city of Des Moines show a proposal for the property at 1601 S. Union St. in Des Moines' Little Italy neighborhood near Columbus Park that would increase the floor space in the historic store and deli by about nearly one-third. It also would add an 8,500-square-foot warehouse and production facility and parking along an alleyway behind the buildings.
