Family, friends and members of the Everett community gathered at City Hall on Tuesday, October 13, to honor the life and legacy of longtime City Clerk Michael G. Matarazzo with a plaque dedication, followed by an Italian flag raising ceremony celebrating Italian Heritage Month.
The afternoon began with City Clerk Sergio Cornelio welcoming attendees and sharing memories of Matarazzo, who dedicated much of his life to serving the people of Everett. Beyond his years in public office, Matarazzo was known for his love of local history, music and storytelling, and his willingness to share those passions with others.
