In 2025, three out of five companies in the Piedmontese Confindustria system maintained regular foreign relations. Of these, 40% reported an increase in exports, while another 35,5% reported stable results, despite the geopolitical turbulence of recent years. The best performances came from the food (+63,6% of companies reported an increase), chemicals (+58,6%), transportation (+57,1%), and wood (+50%) sectors.
France, Germany and the United States remain the reference markets, followed by Spain, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Poland. Other non-EU markets, such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, Japan, Canada, and China, are also performing well. These are the main findings emerging from the second edition of Confindustria Piemonte's Internationalization Report, produced with the contribution of UniCredit.
