Italy’s jewelry industry is discovering that international tourism is not only bringing visitors into museums, hotels and restaurants – it is also becoming an increasingly important gateway for Made in Italy products to reach consumers around the world.

In 2025, foreign tourists spent an estimated €910 million on jewelry and precious items in Italian stores, according to data presented at Vicenzaoro September 2026. The figure represents about 13% of Italian jewelry stores’ annual revenues and 11% of the €8.6 billion international visitors spent on goods while traveling in Italy.
