Huntington will honor the legacy of Andrea and Luisa Sorrentino on Oct. 18 with the dedication of Union Place as Sorrentino Way, followed by the inaugural Sorrentino Family Foundation Italian Festival and Block Party. The street dedication is scheduled for noon, with the festival scheduled from 12:30 to 8 p.m. on Union Place in Huntington.
The event will feature Italian food, music, dancing, drinks and family activities. The dedication recognizes the couple’s longstanding contributions to the Huntington community and their connection to Union Place, where Andrea Sorrentino spent decades practicing his trade, serving customers and building relationships with generations of local residents.
